Polyvalente, touche-à-tout... la diversité des projets menés par Vanessa Hudgens est telle qu'elle a reproduit ce savant mélange des genres - pop, rock, électronique et R&B - sur son premier opus, signé d'une lettre V
(le “V” étant aussi celui de variété).

La jeune star, âgée de 17 ans, a décroché un rôle dans High School Musical, la série musicale à succès de Disney. Vanessa a ensuite conquis des nuées de fans, et chanté dans la bande originale, qui a été n° 1 outre-Atlantique.

Pour son album, Vanessa a choisi des chansons qui lui parlaient.
Son premier single, Come back to me, traite des relations amoureuses et du manque de l'être cher.
